New Curtains for Macbeth

For a discussion of the use of items such as this, see Writing at the Threshold, pages 33-35.

Also please note:
This text is a play entitled New Curtains for Macbeth.  It is one of several full-length plays that I myself have written over the years.

I take the liberty of including my play on this Web site not just because I like it as a work of theater (I do, I admit)–and not just because the use of it here doesn't cost me any fees (though I am not above having such a motive)–but also because it was recently successfully used in the class of a colleague of mine to set off Shakespeare's original.  It seems to serve well in eliciting comparison-and-contrast work of a fruitful, complex nature.

At any rate, I gladly hereby waive my rights to it for classroom use only.

(High school teachers,  please take note: mine is a play that, like Macbeth, was written for adults.   Its references to sex and body functions reflect that fact.)
